Brainstorm Strategy

To begin this project, I considered one what is next for the future of faucets.

I listed unique innovative features that I could foresee being a market standout.

Takeaways

A touchless multifunction faucet offers several key benefits that make it an ideal choice. Touchless operation eliminates the need for direct contact with the faucet, reducing the spread of germs and bacteria. With touchless convenience, users can easily activate the faucet with a simple gesture

Many touchless faucets are equipped with sensors that detect when hands are present, automatically turning the water on and off. This helps with water conservation by eliminating unnecessary usage.

So then I asked myself...

What are current products on market and what can we learn from the current industry?

A Market Opportunity in Cozy Neutrals

According to the World Global Style Network's 2024 report on Kitchen Interiors, future kitchens will be seeing a lot more neutral tones. From restful hues to stone materials, designers will be using calming principles to soothe the senses and soften kitchen surroundings.

According to WGSN, searches for “cashmere kitchen ideas” have increased by 90% on Google Trends, with 31.6bn views for videos tagged “cashmere kitchen” on TikTok.

Based on my market research, current products on market do not yet offer neutral toned options.

Following this, I wanted to familiarize myself with current design trends before I began concepting.

Spray Switch and Magnetic Dock

This switch that allows different spray options on a faucet provides users with versatility and efficiency. By offering options such as a wide spray for cleaning dishes or a focused stream for filling containers, it enhances functionality and simplifies various tasks in the kitchen or bathroom.

The magnetic dock securely holds the spray head in place when not in use, it prevents drooping and ensures a tidy appearance.
